Karlynn Trujillo

Karlynn Trujillo, a native of Colorado, began her dance training at the early age of three and started competitive dancing at nine, the year DanceSpace Performing Arts Academy opened in 2011. From a young age, she developed a deep passion for dance, recognizing its lasting significance in her life. Throughout her extensive training at DanceSpace, Karlynn was often regarded as a role model and leader, both within and beyond the studio. She was an active member of the DanceSpace All-Stars and DanceSpace Performance Company, excelling in competitions and conventions where she earned numerous top awards and scholarships at regional and national levels. Additionally, Karlynn had the privilege of assisting classes during her time as a student.

While attending Erie High School, Karlynn was a member of the Varsity Dance Team, earning several prestigious accolades including All-American (2018-2019, 2019-2020), All Colorado Team (2019-2020), Tri-Valley League Champion (2019-2020), and 4A Pom State 1st Runner-Up (2019-2020). Demonstrating her academic dedication, Karlynn graduated high school in just three years.

Beyond dance, Karlynn is a talented photographer and videographer, owning and operating her own business, Karlynn Trujillo Photography & Videography. She is a Christian college student currently pursuing a degree in Business Marketing and Advertising at Grand Canyon University, where she is also a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Karlynn has held the titles of Miss Colorado Volunteer 2023 and Miss Colorado Teen Volunteer 2022. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and giving back to her community.

Karlynn is passionate about creative movement, athleticism, artistry, and music. Teaching at DanceSpace brings her immense joy, as she is grateful for the opportunity to share her love of dance and play an active role in the development and training of young dancers. Additionally, she contributes to the studio’s administration, social media management, and leads the DanceSpace Chapter of the National Honor Society of Dance Arts.
