Our Founder - Reagan Hoeft

Reagan Hoeft is an innovative educator, choreographer and motivator. Her DVD series Kidgroovz, Theatrix, and Jazz Across the Floor, were #1 sellers at their on-set and are considered “must haves” by teachers across the country. Internationally recognized by such organizations as Dance Educators of America, Dance Masters of America, Al Gilbert Teaching Seminars, and MusicWorks Teaching Seminars to name a few. Versatile and energetic, Reagan’s teaching style is sincere, bold, and from the heart. Her passion is shaping the dancers of tomorrow and continuing the importance of arts education. Reagan’s students have gone on to professional dance careers, win national dance competitions, receive college scholarships, and most importantly, carry a love of dance and a strong work ethic every step of the way. Opening a dance studio not only fulfills a life-long dream of Reagan’s, it allows her to share her spirit, joy, and passion with her students and their families. Ms. Reagan enjoys sharing her love of dance in all genres and with all of the incredible dancers at DanceSpace.

After a fulfilling career in New York and Los Angeles, owner and artistic director Reagan made another dream come true by opening a dance studio to call her own.  Her vision was to create a “second home” for her dancers where they can feel free to be who they are and ultimately thrive in dance and life.  Reagan and her incredible faculty and staff look forward to providing the students of DanceSpace with top-notch dance education and wonderful memories for years to come. Providing classes from age 2 through adult, recreational dancer to pre-professional,  in all disciplines of dance, DanceSpace is the place to be! 

ALLISON FRY

Allison Fry was born in St Louis MO and began dancing at the age of 3. While dancing in St. Louis, Allison enjoyed taking classes with Mike Minery, Gregory Filler, Mandy Moore and Mia Michaels. After moving to CO at the age of 10, Allison continued her dance training in the studio and eventually joined her high school dance team. Allison was an integral part of the Northglenn High School Poms Team where she held the role of captain for 2 consecutive years. She led the team to earning a bid at UDA Nationals where she, along with her team competed with many other high schools from across the United States. Allison loves sharing her passion for dance with children and loves getting to know all of the dance families as studio manager. Allison has been trained in all forms of dance including jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical and tap. Allison is a magna cum laude graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration on Early Childhood Development and a minor in Pre Medicine. In her free time, Miss Allison loves being outdoors and spending time with her wonderful son Vincent.

BILLI PERREIRA

Billi Perreira is originally from Los Angeles, CA where she trained with Reagan Hoeft, Melissa Jackson (MJ), and Lisa Cuizon. She graduated in May 2017 with a BFA in Modern Dance Performance from The University of Oklahoma School of Dance under the Direction of Mary-Margaret Holt and Austin Hartel. While at OU, she also studied at renowned programs on scholarship such as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Contemporary Program at The School at Jacob’s Pillow. Billi then moved to New York City to dance professionally with Peridance Contemporary Dance Company (PCDC) where she danced works by Igal Perry, Alice Klock, Yoshito Sakuraba, Norbert de la Cruz III and Yesid Lopez, performing domestically and internationally in Italy, Germany and Israel. She is thrilled and honored to now teach ballet and choreograph for Performance Company at DanceSpace!

CASSIE GREENLY

Cassie comes to us with 19 years of dance experience. She has grown up as a competitive dancer in Colorado and moved into the All Star world at the age of 13. She was on Standley Lake High School’s Varsity dance team from 2016-2020 and captain from 2018-2020. They had great successes, including multiple top 3 finishes at the state and national levels as well as a State Championship in 2018. She was also on Dance Athletics Denver’s Senior World’s teams from years 2018-2021 and has been on/currently on their Open Hip Hop team since 2021. She has also celebrated great successes, including multiple national championships, finishing 4th in the Open Pom category at Worlds in 2021, and ended last season with a bronze medal in the Open Hip Hop Premier category at Worlds. This season, they were one of 15 teams invited to the first ever Dance Majors. She found her love for coaching and choreographing last year at Erie High School and celebrated a State Championship last January with the JV program in the Hip Hop category. She is currently the JV coach at Broomfield High School and celebrated a State Championship in January with her choreography (alongside Vittorio Luciano) in the Hip Hop category. Cassie is currently a junior studying at the University of Colorado Boulder and is majoring in Dance and minoring in Business. She has also had the pleasure to be a part of CUDT since 2020 celebrating great successes in the Jazz category. She enjoys sharing her passion and love for dance with all of the students at DanceSpace and loves watching each student grow and achieve their goals.

DONNA FRY

Donna Fry is a full time working mother of 2 children, Allison and Travis and 1 rambunctious grandson, Vincent. During the day, she works at FIS Wall Street Concepts doing Government Reporting and moonlights some nights and Saturday mornings at DanceSpace.  Donna has never danced a day in her life but she’s been a ‘dance mom’ to Allison and Travis for over 20 years. She loves that she can continue to have dance be a part of her life even though her children are grown.  When Donna is not busy working her 2 jobs, she loves spending time with her grandson, catching up with friends and being outdoors. Her favorite vacation spot is near the ocean where she can just relax and listen to the waves hit the shore. 

EMMA SAMMOURY

Emma (or Em J as she is often called) was born and raised in Colorado. Joining DanceSpace in 2012, Emma has studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary, as well as participating in many other technique classes. Her favorite styles of dance are tap, contemporary, and ballet, but she is always ready to jump into any style of dance. Emma’s undying passion for dance sparked her love of teaching and choreographing. As an assistant teacher for 5 years, Emma is eager to continue to teach and work alongside the wonderful DanceSpace faculty and staff. Emma has been a part of Alpha Crew since its beginning 4 years ago and is a graduating senior of DanceSpace this year. Additionally, Emma graduated high school this past year as valedictorian, demonstrating her equal focus on dance and education. This year, she is majoring in History with a minor in Dance at the University of Colorado Boulder. She hopes to be a History professor someday and continue to teach dance. Emma is very excited to continue being a part of the DS family this year, especially in this new role!

JESSICA MATTHEWS

Jessica has loved dance since the early age of two. Growing up, she got her training in Massachusetts at Tammy's Dance Connection. She grew up training in all styles of dance, but tap and contemporary were always her favorite! Jessica danced for 15 years at her home studio and competed for 11 years. During this time, she has won many awards both locally and nationally. Her most prized accomplishment was being chosen out of over 200 people by Alex Wong (former So You Think You Can Dance contestant) to perform his choreography in the EXCEL in Motion convention. After high school, Jessica attended Keene State College where she got a dual bachelor's degree in elementary education and sociology. Once returning back from college, and becoming a 5th grade teacher, Jessica realized how much she missed dancing. She then taught at her home studio for one year (junior hip hop) and then two years at another studio (tap, contemporary, jazz, and ballet). Jessica has just recently moved to Colorado from Massachusetts and was looking for a studio out here to continue her love for teaching and dancing. She was very lucky to be welcomed by DanceSpace with open arms and is very excited to share her love of dance with her students! 

KARLYNN TRUJILLO

Karlynn Trujillo was born and raised in the beautiful state of Colorado, beginning her dance training at the early age of 3 years old. She began competitively dancing at age 9, the year DanceSpace Performing Arts Academy opened their doors in 2011. At a young age, Karlynn found an immense love for dance, knowing it would always be an integral part of her life. During her many years of training at DanceSpace, many would describe her to be a role model and leader within and beyond the studio walls. She grew up being a part of both competitive programs within the studio, DanceSpace All-Stars and DanceSpace Performance Company. At competitions and conventions she was the recipient of numerous top placing awards/scholarships, as well as at regional and national dance competitions/conventions. She also had the privilege to assist in teaching classes over the years. During her highschool years on the Erie High School Dance Team, she was All American 2018-2019 & 2019-2020, on the All Colorado Team 2019-2020, Tri-Valley League Champ for 2019-2020, and 4A Pom State 1st Runner Up 2019-2020. Additionally, Karlynn is a photographer and videographer. She is a Christian college student attending Grand Canyon University, majoring in Business-Marketing/Advertising and a part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Karlynn is the current Miss Colorado Volunteer 2023 and her platform is Autoimmune Disease Awareness. She is so thankful to have a platform that allows her to give back, while speaking on matters most important to her. She was also last year, Miss Colorado Teen Volunteer 2022. Karlynn has such a passion for creative movement, athleticism, artistry, and music. Teaching at DanceSpace brings her great joy and she is thankful to not only share her love of dance, but also be an active part of dancers' development and training.

KAYLA MOTLEY

Miss Kayla found her love for dance and movement at a very young age. Her training began at The Dancer’s School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee under the direction of Jimmi Lou Tate. While at the The Dancer’s School, Miss Kayla trained in a variety of styles including Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary under the instruction of Rachel Rebottaro Catalano, Jordan Tate, Jimmi Lou Tate, and Sara Raines. During these early years of training, Miss Kayla was given the opportunity to assist her instructors in teaching pre-school and early elementary dancers. It was here that her passion for teaching began. To further her education, Miss Kayla attended Illinois State University on a performance scholarship for Dance and was given the opportunity to attend Edge Hill University in Ormskirk, England on scholarship for Theatre and Dance. She would go on to receive her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Theatre and Dance. After graduation, Miss Kayla relocated to Colorado to dive deeper into her love for dance education. She began teaching at DanceSpace in the fall of 2019. Miss Kayla is now the director of the Mini-Masters Academy and looks forward everyday to giving the best possible dance education and experience to all of her students at DanceSpace!

KELLY DEMELIO

Born and raised in the beautiful state of Colorado, Kelly Demelio began her well rounded dance education/training at the age of 3. Early on, it became very clear that her love and passion for dance would always be a part of her life. Born and raised in the state of Colorado, Kelly began her dance training at the age of 3. She had an undeniable passion for dance from the very beginning. Growing up, Kelly trained at several different Colorado based studios, competing and performing on the regular, including traveling the country with Americas Got Talent runner ups, The Silhouettes. Kelly’s dance training and education continued to develop after attending Belhaven University as a dance major, dancing professionally for LA based company, MuseEffect, and Dallas based company, SoulEscape. Kelly now dances and choreographs for Denver based company, Rogue Co. Dance Company. Choreography has become Kelly’s established language. As much as she loves dancing, her true passion lies in creation and sharing artistic processes with other artists and her students. Kelly seeks to use the art of dance simply as a vehicle to inspire and positively effect the people around her. She currently teaches at DanceSpace in Erie Colorado and also travels to teach/choreograph freelance both locally and nationally. Kelly has received numerous awards and recognitions for her outstanding choreography and Concept Video productions. Kelly’s desire to bring movement, music and genuine human interaction into her dancing and choreography is truly what makes her unique. She prides herself on being a role model and mentor to young dancers and is highly respected in the dance industry. 

KEN BELL

Ken Bell is an innovative choreographer and energetic educator specializing in Jazz, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, and Technique. He grew up training in Dallas, TX and graduated from SMU before working as a dancer at Disney World for three years. With over ten years teaching experience, Ken continues to share his knowledge at dance studios across the nation. His choreography has been awarded at national competitions and his students have received numerous convention and college scholarships. Many of Ken’s students have pursued professional dance careers including Broadway, Disney, concert dance, and national sports team dance squads. Ken's passionate and personalized approach to teaching, also known as “kenergy,” inspires young artists to push themselves and their technique in all genres of dance. Ken loves his students at DanceSpace and is excited to continue watching their progress and growth!

KERRY HAWKES

Kerry Hawkes is a native of the Washington DC metropolitan area and graduated from Radford University in Virginia with a degree in dance performance technique and business merchandising. Her pre and professional training included The Washington School of Ballet, The Fairfax Ballet, the Asaph Dance Ensemble, and a full scholarship to the MasterWorks Festival in Indiana. While living in the DC metro area, she performed at The Kennedy Center and Constitution Hall. She has been instructing for the past 12 years in Virginia, North Carolina, and now Colorado. Kerry is committed to excellence in dance and an overall passion in maintaining a fit and active lifestyle!

MADDY DONAHUE

Maddy started dancing at the age of 4 and then continued on to be a part of the Jackson Dance Company in Michigan at the age of 12. While being a part of the company for 8 years, she was also instructing and choreographing in jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, contemporary, and acro. After graduating, Maddy moved to Florida where she majored in Business Management at Palm Beach Atlantic University and continued to teach dance full time. During that time she had the opportunity to travel around the U.S. to work with some incredible people in the dance industry including tWitch from the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jlo’s choreographer Liz Imperio, Tony Dovolani from DWTS, Travis Wall from SYTYCD, and most recently Elliana Walmsley from Dance Moms. She also had the opportunity to intern for the Joffrey Ballet Company during a summer intensive in Los Angeles, CA. She then moved to Arizona where she has been working for Master Ballet Academy and choreographing for the Youth American Grand Prix. She’s since been traveling with Eva Nys, one of the top dance photographers in the U.S., and assisting her on photo shoots and campaigns for Blue Water Dance Wear, Lucky Leo, Simply Stella, and various dancers. Her last endeavor has been teaching Aerial Ballet which is the first Aerial Ballet class outside of NYC.

ROBIN JENSEN

Robin Jensen has proudly been a member of the DS Staff for over 10 years.  Her years of experience working in Human Resources and Customer Service at Costco make her a valued member of the DS Administrative Staff.  Ms Robin loves seeing all of the wonderful students at DanceSpace grow year after year, and as a fellow “dance mom”, she is able to support our dance parents as well.    

SABRINA SPENCE

Sabrina was born in Oahu, Hawaii and lived in Florida for the majority of her life. She recentlymoved here to Colorado back in June 2021 and has loved it ever since! Sabrina has been dancingfor 19 years since the age of 8. Training in all styles as she is a well-rounded dancer. Throughoutthe years as a competition dancer she had always stayed well rounded, but she knew growing up,her passion was set on Tap and Hip hop. Every step and rhythm was music to her ears and shelives for it every single day. Growing up she had done many tap solos and events to help her getto where she is now. Sabrina was also featured in many hip hop pieces where she gained a lot ofconfidence and lead roles. She was a teacher at her home studio (Performer’s Edge DanceCenter) who taught children from ages 6 and up within the styles of jazz, hip hop and tap.She has taught many tap classes at Underground Movement owned and directed by Melissa Ruizwho was also her hip hop teacher growing up. Sabrina has also choreographed competitiongroup numbers and solos for Performer’s Edge Dance Center and is expanding her horizon nowin Denver Colorado. She has gone to many tap festivals and trained with Chloe and Maud from the Syncopated ladies, Nick Dinicolangelo, Mark Osborn and so many others. She has traveled to California to attend auditions for the experience, training and opportunity. No matter what the outcome was she continued to train and work hard. In June of 2018, she went to New York and did an audition to become part of the Apartment 33 company held in New York City, directed by international tap star Chloe Arnold. She cannot wait to see what the future has in store for her and hopes to one day inspire others with her love of tap and hip hop. Aside from dance being part of her life for so long, Sabrina also works full time at Fuicelli and Lee Law Firm as a Senior Lead Pre-Litigation Paralegal, where she works closely with attorneys to help clients with personal injury cases, takes on leadership and responsibility. Miss Sabrina is so excited to now be part of the DS family and cannot wait to teach and share her passion for dance! Her desire is to bring happiness, movement, love and most importantly FUN to the table!

SAMANTHA BAKER

Dance and movement have always been a huge part of Sam’s life. Moving to Colorado in high school, Ms. Baker trained at numerous studios in the Denver metro area in a wide variety of disciplines. After moving to Los Angeles to train under some of the industries top choreographers, Sam returned to Denver to join the Damsels Dance Company and attend Metro State University. Samantha co-founded Rogue Co, a widely revered professional dance company consisting of some of Denver’s top dance professionals. Establishing a professional dance company has been wildly inspirational for her life and career. Ms Sam’s routines have been awarded numerous overall titles, outstanding choreography awards, and received national recognition. A certified yoga and barre instructor, Sam uses her vast base of knowledge about the body to aide her teaching and to strengthen her students in class. Sam is elated to have the opportunity to share her passion, energy, and love of dance with the students of DanceSpace.
