Travis Fry

Travis Fry is a passionate and lively dancer who grew up performing in Broomfield, Colorado. Joining DanceSpace in 2013, Travis was one of the original members of the Teen Performance Company, where he trained until he graduated high school in 2017. During his time at DanceSpace, Travis was the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships from popular dance conventions such as Hollywood Vibe, Adrenaline, Velocity, and LA Dance Magic. In the winter of 2016, Travis was invited to join Jackie Sleight’s inaugural LA Dance Magic Men’s Company, where he was able to train with some of the best educators in the industry, including Christian Vincent, Albert Blaise Cattafi, Will Thomas, and Jackie Sleight herself. One of Travis’s leading mentors was dance icon Liz Imperio. Travis first met Liz at the Hollywood Vibe dance convention, where the two formed an instant connection. Liz was not only a pillar of Travis’s dance education, she was also a huge spark of inspiration for him to pursue a further education and career in dance. In the fall of 2017, Travis attended Hussian College, formerly known as Studio School, in Los Angeles, California, where he received his BFA in Commercial Dance. While attending school, Travis trained under industry icons Ambrose Respicio, Joe Brown, Jonette Swider, and several others. His studies at school focused on injury prevention, technique, dancing for film and television, choreography, and story-telling through film media. Today, Travis is a proud DS alumnus who finds great passion in coming back to the studio whenever he can to teach and inspire the next generation of dancers. He is also on the recruitment team at the Joffrey Ballet School, where he works as the Audition Tour Coordinator, setting up auditions across the nation for dancers of all abilities to train at the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School in New York City.
